We supply Gent sounder models S3-S-R and S3-S-W for Vigilon Plus, Compact Plus and Nano addressable systems. These S-Cubed Mark 3 tone sounders have red and white bodies respectively.

For speech output, we supply the red S3-V-R and white S3-V-W voice sounders. Our selection also includes combined sounder and visual alarm devices, separate VADs, shallow bases and the S3-CONTROL infrared remote. We supply these Gent by Honeywell parts to specifiers, fire alarm engineers and trade buyers. The S3EP-S-R adds an IP66 option for outdoor and harsh indoor applications.
We supply S3-S-VAD-HPR-R as a wall mounted sounder with a High Power red VAD in a red body. S3-S-VAD-HPR-W has a white body and a High Power red VAD. S3-S-VAD-LPR-R pairs a tone sounder with a Standard Power red VAD. For speech with a red VAD, we supply S3-V-VAD-HPR-R. S3-V-VAD-HPW-R combines speech with a white VAD. Both voice models have red bodies. These five combined models work with Vigilon Plus, Compact Plus and Nano systems. On Nano, the High Power VADs in these combined models run at Low Power only. S3-VAD-HPR-R is a separate red beacon without a sounder. Its VAD also runs at Low Power on Nano.
For a lower profile on S3-S-R, we supply the optional S3-BASE-SR red shallow base separately in packs of five. S3-BASE-SW is the white shallow base for S3-S-W, also in packs of five. Both sounders already include their matching standard base. S3-GASKET-IP55 provides IP55 protection at their standard deep bases when fitted. We supply ten gaskets per pack for ten sounders. The S3-CONTROL HandiLink remote adjusts sounder volume. It also adjusts speech volume on voice models. It includes two 12V alkaline batteries, one for use and one spare. - Which Gent siren offers tones, and which adds speech?
- S3-S-R provides tones, while S3-V-R adds spoken messages. The S3-S-R is a red Gent fire alarm sounder with intermittent, alternating and continuous tones. S3-S-W is the white version. Neither tone model has speech or a VAD. S3-V-R and S3-V-W each add four spoken messages and a bell tone. Both voice models also provide the same three alarm tones. We supply both tone sounders and both voice models with matching standard bases.
- What changes between S3-S-VAD-HPR-R and S3-S-VAD-LPR-R?
- S3-S-VAD-HPR-R has a High Power red VAD, while S3-S-VAD-LPR-R has a Standard Power red VAD. The High Power model offers three VAD output settings. The Standard Power model has one coverage setting. Both have red bodies and three alarm tones without speech. On Nano, the High Power model's VAD runs at Low Power only. For both parts, EN 54-23 coverage requires compliant VAD mode and supported panel software. We supply both as combined tone sounders and VADs.
- Which S3 models have IP66 protection?
- The IP66 options are S3EP-S-R, S3EP-VAD-HPR-R and the two S3EP voice sounders. S3EP-S-R provides tone alarms. S3EP-VAD-HPR-R provides a red VAD without sound. S3EP-V-VAD-HPR-R combines voice and a red VAD. S3EP-V-VAD-HPW-R combines voice and a white VAD. All four operate from -15°C to +55°C. These four S3EP models have no alternative base options. The indoor S3-S-R is IP21 and operates from -10°C to +50°C. We supply all four S3EP models with their front assembly and back box.
- Which Gent VAD provides a visual alarm without a sounder?
- S3-VAD-HPR-R provides a High Power red visual alarm without sound. It has a red body and no spoken messages. S3EP-VAD-HPR-R is the IP66 beacon option for outdoor and harsh indoor applications. Both take power from the device loop and include a short circuit isolator. Each works with Vigilon Plus, Compact Plus and Nano systems. Nano limits both VADs to Low Power operation. We supply S3-VAD-HPR-R with a standard base and S3EP-VAD-HPR-R as a complete front and back box assembly.
- Do S3 sounders need separate bases or an IP55 gasket?
- The standard base is included with S3-S-R and S3-S-W, while shallow bases and the IP55 gasket are optional. S3-BASE-SR is the red shallow base, and S3-BASE-SW is white. On these sounders, a shallow base reduces the assembled depth from 90mm to 75mm. S3-GASKET-IP55 provides IP55 protection at the standard deep base when fitted. The sounders remain indoor devices with this gasket. We supply shallow bases in packs of five and gaskets in packs of ten for ten sounders.
