S3EP-V-VAD-HPW-R is an environmentally protected (EP) loop-powered voice sounder and high-performance white visual alarm device from Gent by Honeywell, featuring a red body. It combines audible and visual alarm functions in a single unit designed for wall mounting within the S3 Sounders & VADs range. The device has a load factor of 32 per unit, allowing up to 30 devices to be installed on a single loop circuit.
It delivers a sound output of 103 dB(A) ± 3 dB(A) at 1 metre and provides high-performance white visual alarm coverage rated W-5-12.5. The strobe flashes at 0.5Hz and the unit is rated IP66 for ingress protection. Operating temperature ranges from -10°C to +50°C, and the device weighs 0.3Kg. Approvals include EN54-3, EN54-23:2010, and EN54-17 for sounder and VAD performance.
In Nano panel-based systems, all 'High perform.' and 'Standard perform.' S-Cubed devices, including this model, revert to low VAD performance, with only the low VAD setting active. The loop cable, which carries both data and power, is limited to a maximum length of 1km per circuit, and EMC-compliant cables must be used where the European EMC directive applies.
