Gent S3-V-VAD-HPW-R Voice Sounder + White VAD

S3-V-VAD-HPW-R is Gent by Honeywell's red-bodied S-Cubed Mark 3 voice sounder paired with a high-performance white visual alarm device, a wall-mounted Type A (IP21) unit for compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. A short-circuit isolator is built in, and the unit is certified under Sounder - EN54-3 : 2001, A1:2002, A2:2006; Visual Alarm Device (VAD) - EN54-23 : 2010; Short-circuit isolator - EN54-17 : 2005, with approval to EN54-3 Annex C.

The voice stage holds up to 20 seconds of audio and bell tone in flash memory, offering five pre-recorded speech messages covering evacuation, alert and test announcements in male and female voices alongside three LPCB-approved alarm signals. The message and attention-tone period is programmable from the 10-second default up to 30 seconds, and volume can be set with the commissioning tool or the S3-CONTROL IR remote at up to 3 m with the panel in test mode.

Operating at 35V - 48V, the sounder produces 103dB(A) +/-3dB at 1 m while the VAD pulses every 2 s. A programmable base is required - either the S3-BASE-SR red or S3-BASE-SW white shallow base - and the unit mounts on a flat wall or metal box at least 10 cm below the ceiling, across -10°C to +50°C ambient temperatures.
