Gent Software Upgrade
Gent fire alarm upgrades include the loop, control and network card software we supply for existing Vigilon and Compact panels. Our Gent fire alarm software range serves engineers, specifiers and trade buyers maintaining these systems.
The 2211-129 chip holds the software for Vigilon and Compact loop cards. We also supply 2211-143, a program chip for the Vigilon Main Control Card. For network work, we supply 2211-139 for the EN Vigilon fibre network node card. The 2211-140 serves the BS Vigilon fibre network node card.
We supply 2211-191-4 as the V4 software chip for the VIGPLUS-MCC Main Control Card. It fits the card used in the VIGPLUS-MCC-UPGR upgrade. For Compact panels, 2211-192-4 is the V4 software order code. The 2211-180 is firmware for the Master Control Board in Vigilon Compact panels. The 2211-143 program chip fits the VIG-MCC-24 Main Control Card. For the VIG-MCC-V3+ Main Control Card in BS Vigilon panels, we supply 2211-144 software. The 2211-187 provides firmware for the Vigilon Loop Processor Card. Hybrid network card software has its own part number, 2211-200. Our Gent by Honeywell panel ranges cover Vigilon Plus, Compact Plus and Nano.
Start with the full software part number when ordering a Gent panel EPROM. Include the panel model and the reference of the card being serviced. Keep any suffix in the code, such as the final -4 in 2211-191-4. We also supply the 2211-152 software part. The label on 2211-129 carries its part number, software version and manufacturing week. For chip removal, we supply VS-Extractor separately for Vigilon copper and Hybrid network cards. For complete panels, follow the Vigilon Plus, Compact Plus and Nano links below.

Frequently asked questions
- What does a panel software chip provide?
- The 2211-129 chip carries the loop software for Vigilon and Compact loop cards. It fits a socket on the loop card. Its label shows the part number, software version and manufacturing week. Main Control Card software uses a separate part. The 2211-143 chip carries the program for the Vigilon Main Control Card. We supply 2211-129 loop software and 2211-143 control card software.
- Which software parts cover Vigilon and Compact control electronics?
- For Compact panels, 2211-192-4 is the V4 software order code. For the VIGPLUS-MCC Main Control Card, we supply the 2211-191-4 V4 software chip. That chip fits the card used in the VIGPLUS-MCC-UPGR upgrade. The 2211-180 is firmware for the Master Control Board in Vigilon Compact panels. Include the panel model and card reference with your order. We supply these Compact and Vigilon software parts by their full order codes.
- How do the 2211-143 and 2211-144 parts differ?
- The two chips serve different Main Control Cards. The 2211-143 chip serves the VIG-MCC-24 card. That card is used in VIG1-24 and VIG1-72 Vigilon panels. The 2211-144 chip serves the VIG-MCC-V3+ card in BS Vigilon panels with an eight-line display. Match the software to the Main Control Card fitted in the panel. We supply both parts as software chips for those Main Control Cards.
- Which parts are for network card software?
- We supply 2211-139 for EN Vigilon fibre network node cards and 2211-140 for the BS Vigilon versions. Both are software chips for the VIG-NC-FO node card. The 2211-200 carries software for the Hybrid network card. Keep the node card reference and the panel type together when ordering. We supply these three network software parts separately by their full part numbers.
- What information should accompany an upgrade parts order?
- Include the full software part number, panel model and card reference with your order. Retain the suffix on codes such as 2211-191-4. For 2211-152, use that exact software reference. The 2211-129 chip label gives its part number, software version and manufacturing week. We also supply VS-Extractor as a separate tool for chip removal on Vigilon copper and Hybrid network cards.
