The Gent 2211-140 is the BS Vigilon fibre network/node card, fitting a dedicated backplane slot of a Vigilon control panel or network node to enable fast message passing over fibre optics. It is designed for use in both EN and BS Vigilon control panels, requiring compatible Main Control Card software prior to installation.
Physical wiring and terminal connection details are specified in the installation manual, and the card must be plugged into a dedicated backplane slot with fibre optic cables connected directly to its sockets. Two builds exist for secure EN54 and BS Vigilon networks, differentiated as VIG-NC-FO Node and VIG-NC-DOM-FO Domain variants. An optional chip may be supplied, requiring antistatic precautions and a suitable extractor during replacement.
