This delivery information applies to orders placed with FIREAGENT LTD by trade and business customers.
Where we deliver
We deliver to UK mainland addresses by courier or, for larger consignments, by pallet carrier. Deliveries to offshore, Highlands and other non-mainland locations may carry a surcharge or longer lead time; please ask before ordering.
Orders and dispatch
Orders can be placed online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We dispatch on UK working days only (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). Orders placed at the weekend or on a bank holiday are processed on the next working day. There is no Saturday, Sunday or bank-holiday dispatch.
Order in-stock items before 3pm for same-day dispatch: orders placed and paid before 3pm on a UK working day, for items held in stock, are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 3pm are dispatched the next working day. Special-order items are subject to the manufacturer lead times described below.
Lead times
Lead times differ depending on whether an item is held in stock or supplied to order. Stock items are typically dispatched promptly, while special-order items are subject to manufacturer lead times. We will advise expected timescales on your quote or order confirmation.
Delivery charges
Standard delivery is Royal Mail Tracked 24, a next-working-day delivery aim rather than a guarantee, at a flat £9.95 ex VAT (£11.94 inc VAT) per order and free on orders over £250 ex VAT. The charge is shown at checkout. Royal Mail's delivery aims do not apply to every postcode. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands and other remote areas can take longer. Larger consignments go by pallet carrier and are quoted separately.
Delivery estimates
Any delivery dates or timescales we give are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers or by events outside our reasonable control.
Risk and title
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title (ownership) in the goods does not pass until we have received full cleared payment; until then we retain title to the goods (retention of title).
Inspection, damage and shortages
Please inspect all deliveries on receipt. Any damage, shortage or discrepancy must be noted on the carrier's paperwork where possible and reported to us within 48 hours of delivery so we can investigate and put it right.
Failed deliveries and redelivery
If a delivery cannot be completed because no one is available to receive it, or access is restricted, a redelivery charge may apply. Please ensure someone is available to receive and sign for goods at the nominated address.
