Description
The Gent VIG-NC-FO is a fibre optic network card for Vigilon panels and network nodes. It links up to 31 panels and nodes in a secure loop, with up to 2 km of fibre between a panel and node. It fits VIGPLUS-24, VIGPLUS-72 and the Vigilon Plus Network node. The EN chip is factory fitted, while chip 2211-140 is the option for a BS panel. An EN host needs MCC software at V4.00 or later; a BS host needs V3.90 or later. Gent's VIG-NC-FO and VIG-NC-DOM-FO pair uses dedicated backplane slots, with fibre leads connected directly to card sockets. Choose VIG-NC-DOM-FO where the network requires a secure domain bridge.
VIG-NC-FO is a multimode fibre network node card for VIGPLUS-24, VIGPLUS-72 and Vigilon Plus Network nodes. It connects up to 31 control panels and network nodes in a secure loop, with fibre distances up to 2 km between panel and node.

VIG-NC-FO is a multimode fibre network node card for VIGPLUS-24, VIGPLUS-72 and Vigilon Plus Network nodes. It connects up to 31 control panels and network nodes in a secure loop, with fibre distances up to 2 km between panel and node.
For EN Vigilon panels, chip 2211-139 is factory fitted and the host requires MCC V4.00 or later. The BS option uses chip 2211-140 with MCC V3.90 or later. The chip and host software must match the EN or BS installation.
VIG-NC-FO and VIG-NC-DOM-FO use 62.5/125µm multimode fibre at 820nm, with ST sockets directly on the cards. Baud settings are 19.2K, 38.4K, 115.2K and 230.4K. Both cards fit dedicated host backplane positions, with patch leads of the correct length between card and patch panel.
On both cards, P2 and P3 are booster links for End 1 and End 2 respectively. They are normally left unfitted and must be fitted for fibre distances exceeding 750 m. Both cards measure 144 mm high by 100 mm wide, operate from 0°C to 45°C and can be stored from -10°C to 55°C. Relative humidity is up to 90%, non-condensing.

FAQs
How many panels can the VIG-NC-FO connect?
VIG-NC-FO connects up to 31 control panels and network nodes in a secure loop, with fibre distances up to 2 km between panel and node. It fits VIGPLUS-24, VIGPLUS-72 and the Vigilon Plus Network node. The VIG-NC-FO and VIG-NC-DOM-FO multimode pair uses 62.5/125µm fibre at 820nm, ST sockets and dedicated backplane slots. VIG-NC-DOM-FO joins smaller networks into a domain, supporting up to 64 networks and 200 panels and nodes across the whole system.
Which Vigilon Plus panels use the VIG-NC-FO?
VIG-NC-FO fits VIGPLUS-24, VIGPLUS-72 and the Vigilon Plus Network node. VIG-NC-FO and VIG-NC-DOM-FO use dedicated backplane slots, with fibre leads connected directly to ST sockets on each card. For an EN Vigilon panel, VIG-NC-FO has factory-fitted chip 2211-139 and requires MCC V4.00 or later. A BS panel uses optional chip 2211-140 with MCC V3.90 or later. VIG-NC-FO supports a secure loop of up to 31 panels and nodes, with up to 2 km between panel and node.
Which chip is used with a BS Vigilon panel?
VIG-NC-FO uses optional chip 2211-140 with a BS Vigilon panel, whose MCC software must be V3.90 or later. For an EN panel, chip 2211-139 is factory fitted and the host requires MCC V4.00 or later. VIG-NC-FO and VIG-NC-DOM-FO use different chip numbers. On both cards, use antistatic precautions during chip replacement and a suitable extractor for removal. Both cards fit dedicated backplane slots, with fibre leads connected directly to their ST sockets.
What fibre cable and connectors does this pair use?
VIG-NC-FO and VIG-NC-DOM-FO use 62.5/125µm multimode fibre at 820nm, with ST sockets directly on the cards. Available baud settings are 19.2K, 38.4K, 115.2K and 230.4K. Patch leads must be the correct length between card and patch panel. VIG-NC-FO supports up to 31 control panels and network nodes, with fibre distances up to 2 km between panel and node. For distances exceeding 750 m, booster links P2 and P3 must be fitted for End 1 and End 2 respectively.
When are the P2 and P3 booster links fitted?
On VIG-NC-FO and VIG-NC-DOM-FO, booster links P2 and P3 are normally left unfitted. They must be fitted for fibre distances exceeding 750 m, with P2 serving End 1 and P3 serving End 2. Patch leads connect directly between the card's ST sockets and the patch panel and must be the correct length. Both cards use 62.5/125µm multimode fibre at 820nm. VIG-NC-FO supports up to 2 km between panel and node on a secure loop of up to 31 panels and nodes.
