What it is and how it fits the system.
The VIGPLUS-24 is a Vigilon Plus analogue addressable fire detection control panel supporting 1 to 4 loops, from the Vigilon Plus range of advanced fire detection control panels. It carries an integral EN54-4 PSU with 24 hours plus 30 minutes alarm standby on 2 x 21Ah batteries, and supports up to 200 devices per loop. The panel weighs 22 kg including batteries and operates from 0 to 45ºC.
Technical overview
VIGPLUS-24 is the one-to-four loop Vigilon Plus control panel from Gent by Honeywell, an analogue addressable fire detection panel approved to EN54 Parts 2 & 4. Each loop accepts up to 200 devices over loop lengths of up to 2.5 km (2.5km with 2.5mm cable CSA or 2km with 1.5mm cable CSA), and all Vigilon devices connect onto the same two core loop, so separate sounder or repeater panel wiring circuits are not required. EN54-2 restricts Vigilon 4 and 6 loop panels to a maximum of 512 sensors and call points.
The panel carries an integral EN54-4 PSU giving 24 hours standby plus 30 minutes in alarm when fitted with 2 x 21Ah batteries, and operates from 0-45ºC. An 8-line x 40 character back-lit LCD display with push-button keypad handles control, and networking of up to 200 panels in a multi-domain structure runs over copper or optic fibre using the VIG-NC or VIG-NC-FO network cards.
VIGPLUS-24 supersedes the VIG1-24. Loop expansion uses the VIG-LPC-EN loop card, while the VIG-24-FLUSH flush surround, VIG-DOOR-SS stainless steel door, VIG-FLUSH-SS stainless steel flush mounting kit and custom colour doors cover installation finishes; the VIGPLUS-RPT repeat panel and the VIG72-UPGR 72-hour standby upgrade kit extend the system further.
