The VIG-NC-SMF is the Single Mode Fibre Network Card, plugging into dedicated backplane slots of a Vigilon Plus panel or node to provide a fast, reliable network over distances of up to 20km between Vigilon Plus panels (VIGPLUS-24, VIGPLUS-72) and network nodes (VIGPLUS-NODE). It connects via ST sockets and supports baud rates of 19.2K, 38.4K, 115.2K and 230.4K. Designed for Single Mode 9/125 µm LSZH G652-compliant optical fibre.
Technical overview
VIG-NC-SMF is the Single Mode Fibre Network Card from Gent by Honeywell, part of the Vigilon Plus range. It plugs into dedicated backplane slots of Vigilon Plus panels or nodes to enable high-speed network communication over distances of up to 20km between panels such as VIGPLUS-24 and VIGPLUS-72, and network nodes like VIGPLUS-NODE.
The card supports baud rates of 19.2K, 38.4K, 115.2K and 230.4K and connects via ST sockets for Single Mode 9/125µm LSZH G652-compliant optical fibre. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to +45°C and stores safely from -10°C to +55°C, with tolerance for up to 90% relative humidity non-condensing. Designed for reliable fire detection networking, it supports up to 31 panels/nodes on a single network or 200 on a complex network configuration. The physical dimensions are 144mm in height, 100mm in width and 14mm in depth, with an approximate weight of 100g. It requires compatible fibre optic cabling meeting BS5839 Part 1 recommendations for installation with adequate mechanical protection.
