What it is and how it fits the system.
The VIG-LPC is an older-build EN Vigilon loop card for use in Vigilon 4/6 loop panels only, supporting loop lengths of up to 1km with a mix of S4, S3 Mark 1/2 and 34K devices. Designed to EN54 Parts 2 & 4, the older loop cards may only be used as replacements and must never be used in place of post-March 2014 loop cards. The Loop Diagnostic Tool cannot be used to diagnose Vigilon panels fitted with this card.
Technical overview
The VIG-LPC is an older-build EN Vigilon loop card by Gent by Honeywell, designed for use exclusively in Vigilon 4/6 loop panels. It supports loop lengths of up to 1km when used with a combination of S4, S3 Mark 1/2 and 3400 devices on the circuit. The card is designed to EN54 Parts 2 & 4 standards as specified in the Vigilon Fire System GENT 2012 documentation.
This card is strictly intended as a like-for-like replacement for older-build loop cards and must never be used to replace post-March 2014 loop cards such as the VIG-LPC-EN or COMPACT-LPC-EN, particularly where loop lengths extend to 2km or where EN54 Part 23 compliant devices are installed. Additionally, the Loop Diagnostic Tool cannot be used to diagnose Vigilon panels that have this card fitted, limiting diagnostic capabilities to alternative methods.
