The Gent S3-S-VAD-HPR-R is a wall-mounted S-Cubed Mark 3 Type A device combining a sounder with a high-performance red visual alarm device on a red body, for compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. Rated IP21 and operating at 35-48V, the sounder delivers 103dB(A) +/-3dB at 1m while the VAD pulses every 2s with a peak draw of 18mA.
Technical overview
The Gent S3-S-VAD-HPR-R is a wall-mounted S-Cubed Mark 3 Type A device combining a sounder with a high-performance red visual alarm device on a red body, for compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. It operates at 35V to 48V and delivers a sound output of 103dB(A) +/-3dB at 1m, while the VAD pulses every 2 seconds with a peak current draw of 18mA.
Rated IP21 for ingress protection, the device functions in ambient temperatures from -10°C to +50°C and can be stored between -20°C and +70°C. The red body is finished in RAL 3020, with a white body option also available (RAL 9010). The VAD is classified as Type A for internal use, with power settings spanning HIGH (W-6.7-14), MED (W-6.5-12.5), and LOW (W-5-9.5) modes.
It supports three signals: Signal 1 (intermittent 970Hz ±10% @ 1Hz), Signal 2 (alternating 730Hz/970Hz ±10% @ 2Hz), and Signal 3 (continuous high tone 970Hz ±10%). The signals marked with an asterisk are LPCB approved. It requires a programmable shallow base, compatible with either the S3-BASE-SR (red body) or S3-BASE-SW (white body) variants, and can be mounted on flat walls or metal boxes. Physical wiring details are documented in the installation manual. It supersedes the S3-SN-ST-RR-V2 model.
