The Gent S3-S-VAD-LPR-R is a wall-mounted S-Cubed Mark 3 Type A device combining a sounder with a standard-performance red visual alarm device on a red body, for compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. Rated IP21 and operating at 35-48V, it is built from a V2-rated polycarbonate body and lens on an ABS base and weighs 293g with deep base.
Technical overview
The Gent S3-S-VAD-LPR-R is a wall-mounted S-Cubed Mark 3 Type A device combining a sounder with a standard-performance red visual alarm device on a red body, designed for compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. It operates within a voltage range of 35V to 48V and achieves an IP21 ingress protection rating, suitable for indoor environments with limited exposure to moisture.
Constructed from a V2-rated polycarbonate body and lens on an ABS base, the unit weighs 293g with a deep base and 271g with an optional shallow base. It delivers a sound level of 103dB(A) ±3dB at 1m and features a visual alarm with a pulsed flash output every 2 seconds. The device supports infrared remote control for volume adjustment, with an operating range up to 3m.
Compatibility includes use with the S3-CONTROL remote for IR adjustment and volume control, as well as mounting on flat walls or metal boxes at least 10cm below ceiling using either shallow or deep bases. Programmable bases such as S3-BASE-SR (red) or S3-BASE-SW (white) are required for installation, and physical wiring details are provided in the installation manual. Ambient operating temperature spans from -10°C to +50°C, with storage ranging from -20°C to +70°C. The device is available in red body (RAL 3020) or white body (RAL 9010) variants.
