The Gent S3-V-R is a wall-mounted S-Cubed Mark 3 Type A voice sounder with a red body, for use in compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. Operating at 35-48V and rated IP21, it produces 103dB(A) +/-3dB at 1m from a V2-rated polycarbonate housing on an ABS base.
Technical overview
S3-V-R is a Gent by Honeywell wall-mounted S-Cubed Mark 3 Type A voice sounder with a red body, designed for use in compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. It operates at 35V–48V and produces a sound level of 103dB(A) ±3dB at 1m from its V2-rated polycarbonate housing on an ABS base. The device is rated IP21 for ingress protection and functions in ambient temperatures from -10°C to +50°C, with storage between -20°C and +70°C.
Certified to EN54-3:2001, A1:2002, A2:2006 for sounder performance and EN54-17:2005 for short-circuit isolation, it supports three programmable signals: an intermittent 970Hz tone, an alternating 730Hz/970Hz tone, and a continuous high tone at 970Hz, all with ±10% tolerance. Pre-recorded voice messages include a bell tone, an emergency evacuation instruction, and an incident alert notification, each triggered by specific signal patterns. The unit requires a programmable base such as the S3-BASE-SR for installation and is compatible with the S3-CONTROL IR remote for volume adjustment. It mounts on walls or metal boxes using shallow or deep bases, with wiring details provided in the installation manual.
