The S3EP-S-R is an environmentally protected (EP) loop-powered sounder from Gent by Honeywell, featuring a red body and belonging to the Gent S-Cubed (S3) family of sounders and visual alarm devices. It is designed for wall mounting and operates as part of the S3 Sounders & VADs range, specifically within the Wall Sounders sub-range.
With a load factor of 11.25 per device, the S3EP-S-R allows up to 88 units to be installed on a single loop circuit. Compatibility requirements include the use of EMC-compliant cable where the European EMC directive applies, with approved enhanced loop cables such as Draka Firetuf FT120 Enhanced, Datwyler Pyrofil Enhanced, Mineral insulated cable (MICC) to BS6207:Part 1, and Prysmian FP PLUS. Maximum loop cable usage is limited to 1km per circuit, encompassing main loops, spurs, and input/output line runs. For Nano panel-based systems, all High and Standard performance S-Cubed devices revert to LOW VAD performance when installed.
