The Gent S3-VAD-HPR-R is a wall-mounted S-Cubed Mark 3 Type A high-performance red visual alarm device with a red body, for use in compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. Rated IP21 and operating at 35-48V, it is constructed from a V2-rated polycarbonate body and lens on an ABS base.
Technical overview
The S3-VAD-HPR-R is a wall-mounted S-Cubed Mark 3 Type A high-performance red visual alarm device with a red body, designed for use in compatible GENT Vigilon fire alarm systems. It operates at 35V to 48V and is rated IP21 for ingress protection, suitable for internal environments with an ambient operating temperature range of -10°C to +50°C and storage temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. The device features a V2-rated polycarbonate body and lens mounted on an ABS base, with a weight of 293g when fitted with the deep base or 271g with the optional shallow base.
It delivers a pulsed visual output every 2 seconds and supports adjustable coverage settings: HIGH (W-6.7-14m), MED (W-6.5-12.5m), and LOW (W-5-9.5m), with a peak current draw of 18mA (0.63W max) across the operating voltage range. Volume and flash settings can be adjusted via the S3-CONTROL IR remote control when the panel is in Test mode or using the commissioning tool, with an effective IR operating range of up to 3m. The unit mounts onto a flat wall or metal box positioned at least 10cm below the ceiling and is compatible with shallow base options such as the S3-BASE-SR for Type A (IP21) products.
