The Gent S4BK-711-V-VAD-HPR is a black S4 (S-Quad) multi-sensor combining dual angle optical and heat detection with an electronic sounder, speech and a high power red LED flasher (VAD) in one assembly. It operates on a 35V-48V loop and achieves IP21C when the base is mounted on an IP21 plate. The black ABS sensor head measures 117mm in diameter by 49.6mm high and weighs 110g.

It operates on a 35V–48V loop and achieves IP21C ingress protection when mounted on an IP21 plate, with the black ABS sensor head measuring 117mm in diameter by 49.6mm in height and weighing 110g.
Label markings read "O 2 H/V/WVAD/HP", and the unit is LPCB approved to EN54-3,5,7,17,18,23 standards. The sounder complies with EN54-3:2001, A1:2002, A2:2006, though A2-2006 does not apply to certain S4 variants. Operating temperature ranges from -10°C to +50°C, with storage from -20°C to +70°C, and relative humidity tolerance is 95% non-condensing between +5°C and +45°C.
It plugs into a dedicated S4-700 base, with black variants requiring the S4BK-700 black base, and IP21 compliance necessitating use of the S4-701 IP21 base or S4BK-705 black IP21 plate. Physical wiring details are in the installation manual, and a metal back box must be used for base mounting to maintain earth continuity. An extractor tool facilitates head removal and dust cover extraction when used with a screw-on adaptor.
