The Gent S4-711-V-VAD-LPR is an S4 dual optical-heat sensor combined with a voice sounder and a low-power red Visual Alarm Device. It provides detection, audible voice alarm and low-power red visual signalling in a single addressable unit. With a load factor of 17.5, up to 55 are supported per loop.
Technical overview
S4-711-V-VAD-LPR is a Gent by Honeywell addressable detector from the S4 Detectors range, specifically a dual optical-heat sensor with integrated voice sounder and low-power red Visual Alarm Device (VAD). It combines fire detection, audible voice alarm signalling, and low-power red visual indication within a single unit, designed for use on addressable fire alarm loops.
The device has a load factor of 17.5, allowing up to 55 units to be installed per loop circuit. It requires the IP21 base (S4-701) to achieve IP21 and EN54-23 compliance for the VAD function, and uses the common S-Quad sensor base (S4-700) for mounting. Compatible with Nano System architecture, it installs on the loop circuit alongside other addressable devices such as sensors, sounders, manual call points, and interface units, up to a combined maximum of 127 devices per loop.
