Required to operate
Needed to install, power or certify this product.

IP21 base and base cover (pack of 1)
VAD requires the IP21 base/mounting plate to achieve IP21 and EN54-23 compliance.

Base - Common for all S-Quad Sensors
S-Quad sensor plugs into its dedicated S4-700 base

IP21 base covers (pack 5)
VAD/Sounder S-Quad must use Base with IP21 Plate to meet Standards

34000 S-Quad Adapter Base
Detector listed for use with the S4-700-34K adapter base.
Overview
What it is and how it fits the system.
The Gent S4-711-V-VAD-HPW is an S4 (S-Quad) loop-powered addressable device combining a dual optical/heat sensor with a voice sounder and a high-performance white Visual Alarm Device. It unites detection, audible voice alarm and high-performance white visual signalling in one unit. With a load factor of 17.5, up to 55 are supported per loop, within a combined maximum of 127 devices on the loop circuit, which must not cover more than 10,000m2 of floor area.

This variant features a high-performance white VAD and is designed for use with the S4-700 base, requiring the IP21 base/mounting plate (S4-701) to achieve IP21 and EN54-23 compliance. It connects to the addressable loop circuit alongside fire sensors, alarm sounders, manual call points and interface units within the S-Quad / Nano System architecture. Physical wiring and terminal connections are detailed in the installation instructions.
