The Gent S4-711-V-VAD-HPR is an S4 (S-Quad) loop-powered device combining a dual optical and heat sensor with a voice sounder and a high-performance red Visual Alarm Device. It delivers detection, audible voice alarm and high-performance visual signalling from one addressable unit. With a load factor of 17.5, up to 55 are supported per loop.
Technical overview
The Gent S4-711-V-VAD-HPR is a loop-powered S4 (S-Quad) combined detector that integrates dual optical and heat sensing with a voice sounder and a high-performance red Visual Alarm Device. It provides fire detection, audible voice alarm and visual signalling from a single addressable unit, carrying a load factor of 17.5 with up to 55 supported per loop.
The unit operates on an addressable loop circuit that carries a combined maximum of 127 addressable devices, including fire sensors, alarm sounders, manual call points and interface units. Mounting requires the S4-701 IP21 base, with S4-705 base covers fitted to reach IP21 and EN54-23 compliance, while the common S4-700 base is shared across S-Quad sensors. It supersedes the earlier S4-711-ST-VO.
It carries EN54 certification spanning smoke, heat, VAD, sounder and voice sounder, isolator and input/output functions, corresponding to EN54-3, 5, 7, 17, 18 and 23. The detector operates across an ambient range of -10°C to +50°C.
