Description
The Gent S4-FLUSH is a semi-flush mounting kit for white S-Quad detector heads. The kit contains a main housing, a trim ring and two fitted screws. It recesses the device approximately 20mm into a ceiling tile and fits a 140mm circular opening. Screw-operated clamps secure the housing to the tile. An S4-700 base aligns with locating pillars and clicks into the housing. A metal back box fits at the rear. The trim ring locks with a clockwise turn before the detector head is fitted. The S4-FLUSH provides a semi-flush mounting arrangement for the white S-Quad range. Its main housing and trim ring recess the device into a ceiling tile by approximately 20mm. The kit includes two fitted screws. The ABS kit is white RAL 9010, measures 174mm in diameter by 50mm deep and weighs 164g with the trim ring.
Cut a 140mm diameter opening in the ceiling tile and insert the housing. Tighten its clamp screws to spread the clamps and secure it to the tile. Avoid overtightening, which can cause the clamps to cut into the tile. Fit a metal back box to the rear of the housing with suitable screws and maintain loop earth continuity at the box.
Align the two locating pillars in the housing with the elongated holes in the S4-700 base, then press the base into place until it clicks. Make the cable connections. Turn the trim ring clockwise until it locks, then fit the detector head to the base with a clockwise turn until it reaches its stop.
The kit has an ambient temperature range of −10°C to +50°C and a storage range of −20°C to +70°C. Its humidity limit is 95% non-condensing at +5°C to +45°C. The S4-700 common base fits inside the housing beneath the rear metal box.
