Description

The Gent 781814 is a remote LED indicator that repeats an ES Detect detector alarm at a separate position. Its red lens is lit by three red LEDs and has a viewing angle of 180 degrees. On ES Detect circuits the light flashes when activated. The flash rate is about 1Hz. It connects to the detector base with two separate wires; with the 805590-D, these run to the LED EP6 and EM2 terminals. The white ABS housing is 85mm wide, 82mm high and 27mm deep. It operates from 1.8 to 3V DC and draws about 9mA. The ambient temperature range is -25°C to +70°C, with IP42 protection for the indicator.

The 781814 repeats the alarm from an ES Detect detector through three red LEDs behind a red lens. Its viewing angle is 180 degrees. On an ES Detect circuit, the indicator flashes at approximately 1Hz when activated.

Read the full technical description

The 781814 repeats the alarm from an ES Detect detector through three red LEDs behind a red lens. Its viewing angle is 180 degrees. On an ES Detect circuit, the indicator flashes at approximately 1Hz when activated.

Two wires connect the indicator to the detector base. With an 805590-D, X1 positive connects to LED EP6 and X1 negative connects to EM2. The base carries the conventional zone connections for the detector. The indicator operates from 1.8 to 3V DC and its current consumption is approximately 9mA.

The enclosure is white ABS plastic, similar to RAL 9010, and measures 85mm wide by 82mm high by 27mm deep. It is rated IP42, with an ambient temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and a storage range of -35°C to +85°C.

The 805590-D installation supports the 800171 fixed heat detector, 800177 Class B fixed heat detector, 800271 rate-of-rise heat detector and 800371 optical smoke detector with remote alarm indication. The 781814 is an optional indicator connected through the base.

FAQs

What does the 781814 show on an ES Detect installation?

The 781814 repeats the connected detector alarm at a separate position. It has three red LEDs behind a red lens, with a viewing angle of 180 degrees. On an ES Detect circuit, the indicator flashes at approximately 1Hz when activated. Two wires link it to the detector base. With the 805590-D base, the detector can be an 800171 fixed heat, 800177 Class B fixed heat, 800271 rate-of-rise heat or 800371 optical smoke head.

How does the 781814 connect to the 805590-D base?

The connection uses two wires between the 781814 and the 805590-D base. The indicator X1 positive terminal connects to LED EP6 on the base, and X1 negative connects to EM2. The base carries the detector on the conventional zone circuit, while the indicator repeats its alarm at another position. The 781814 operates from 1.8 to 3V DC and consumes approximately 9mA. Its red lens contains three red LEDs, which flash when activated on an ES Detect circuit.

What are the dimensions and environmental ratings of the 781814?

The 781814 has a rectangular ABS enclosure measuring 85mm wide, 82mm high and 27mm deep. The housing is white, similar to RAL 9010, with a red indicator lens. Its ingress protection is IP42 and its ambient operating range is -25°C to +70°C. Storage temperature is -35°C to +85°C. The illuminated lens has a viewing angle of 180 degrees. A pair of wires connects the unit to the detector base so that it can repeat the alarm at a separate position.

Which ES Detect heads can use the 781814 through a diode base?

The 805590-D base supports remote indication with the 781814 for the 800171, 800177, 800271 and 800371 heads. These are the fixed heat, Class B fixed heat, rate-of-rise heat and optical smoke models respectively. The indicator connects to the base through two wires and repeats the alarm using three red LEDs. On this ES Detect application the light flashes when activated. The head fits into the base on the conventional zone circuit, with the remote indicator connected at the base.

What voltage and current apply to the 781814?

The 781814 operates from 1.8 to 3V DC and consumes approximately 9mA. Its electrical connection is through two wires to the detector base. With the 805590-D, the positive indicator connection is LED EP6 and the negative connection is EM2. The red lens contains three red LEDs and flashes at approximately 1Hz on an ES Detect installation. The indicator itself has an IP42 ABS housing and an ambient operating temperature range extending from -25°C to +70°C.
