The 800271 is an ES Detect non-addressable rate-of-rise heat detector using a fast semiconductor sensor for reliable detection of fires with rapidly rising temperatures, plus an integrated fixed-temperature function. Approved to EN 54-5 class A1R, it operates from 8 to 42 V DC with a typical 9 mA alarm current at 9 V DC and around 25 uA quiescent draw. Rated for application temperatures up to 50 C on conventional systems.
Technical overview
The 800271 is a Conventional ES Detect rate-of-rise heat detector with an integrated fixed-temperature function, using a fast semiconductor sensor for reliable detection of rapidly rising temperatures. Approved to EN 54-5 class A1R, it operates from 8 to 42 V DC with a typical alarm current of 9 mA at 9 V DC and a quiescent draw of approximately 25 µA. The device is rated for application temperatures from -20 °C to 50 °C and storage from -25 °C to 75 °C, with air humidity below 95 % and air speed tolerance up to 25.4 m/s.
Constructed from ABS plastic in white (similar to RAL 9010), the 800271 achieves IP43 ingress protection when installed with a compatible base and option. It is designed for use on conventional fire detection systems and requires a detector base such as the 805590 or the diode-equipped 805590-D for installation. Compatibility extends to remote LED indicators like the 781814 and specific Xenex control panels (13270-02LB, 13270-04LB, 13270-08LB), with interface units enabling use with Vigilon systems.
