Gent 8 Zone conventional panel, EN54 less batteries

The 13270-08LB is an eight-zone conventional fire alarm control panel in the Xenex 3270 range, approved to EN54 Parts 2 and 4 and also listed under order code 75585-08NMB. It is catalogued under Conventional Xenex Panels as a fire panel. Front-panel controls use a numeric keypad to sound the alarm, silence it, reset the system and cancel the buzzer, and a software-selectable false-alarm verification feature filters spurious activations.

Power is drawn from a 230V ac 50Hz mains feed with a +10% to -15% tolerance. Each of the eight zones accepts a maximum load of 3 mA across up to twenty diode bases, spur wiring off a zone is not permitted, and every circuit is monitored by a 22 µF end-of-line capacitor after the last device, with a 470 ohm series resistor in each manual call point. Sounder circuits deliver up to 500 mA apiece within a 1 A combined ceiling, a 24V auxiliary output is rated to 500 mA, and 72 hours of standby followed by 30 minutes at alarm load is achievable, subject to system loading.

Field wiring follows conventional radial layouts in standard two-core cable, carrying optical, beam and duct smoke detectors, fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise heat detectors, alongside sounders, strobes and bells. The eight-zone XENS-MCB-8 board sits at the panel's core, the 13270-29 kit allows recessed flush mounting, and a single eight-zone repeat indicator can be driven over the serial port, one per system. Two auxiliary relay contacts and a zone disablement facility complete the control provisions.
