Gent 13270-04LB Xenex 4-Zone Conventional Fire Panel

13270-04LB is the four-zone control panel in Gent's Xenex conventional fire detection and alarm range, also listed under alternate part number 75585-04NMB. The panel is BSI Approved (KM 553763) under certificate 0086-CPD-553764, and designed in accordance with the requirements of EN54-2: 1997, A1:2006, plus the requirements of EN54-4: 1997, A1:2002, A2:2006.

Zone wiring follows strict conventional discipline: each of the four zone circuits accepts up to 3.0 mA of load with a maximum of 20 diode bases, spur wiring is not permitted, and monitoring relies on a 22 uF end-of-line capacitor fitted after the last device with a 470 ohm series resistor in every manual call point. Four sounder circuits deliver 500 mA each within a 1 A combined ceiling, a volt-free class change contact can be run in from up to 100 m, and standby of 72 hours followed by 30 minutes of alarm load is achievable when sized on 2 x 12 V, 2.1 Ah minimum batteries, dependent on system loading.

Field devices sit on conventional radial wiring using standard 2-core cable, from optical, beam and duct smoke detectors to fixed temperature and rate-of-rise heat detectors, sounders, strobes and bells. A single 13271-08LB eight-zone repeat indicator can be connected in series with the control panel, the 13270-29 flush fixing kit provides recessed mounting, and the range steps from the two-zone 13270-02LB up to the eight-zone 13270-08LB. Serviceability is covered by the XENS-SPARE spares pack, XENS-FLAP replacement mouldings and cover plates, and the XENS-MCB-4 four-zone PCB assembly.
