Description

The Gent 805590-D is a detector base with a diode for the ES Detect conventional range. It holds the detector head and connects it to the zone circuit, with the diode keeping the circuit continuous when the head is removed. It fits the 800171 and 800177 fixed heat heads, the 800271 rate-of-rise heat head and the 800371 optical smoke head. A 781814 remote LED connects at the base to repeat the alarm. The white ABS-V0 base is 115mm across and 24mm deep, and weighs about 60g. It has a detector locking insert, adjustable ceiling fixing points and terminals for 1.5 to 2.5mm² conductors.

The 805590-D mounts the 800171 fixed heat detector, 800177 Class B fixed heat detector, 800271 rate-of-rise heat detector or 800371 optical smoke detector. Its diode maintains continuity along the zone circuit when the head is removed. On a Xenex zone, up to 20 diode bases can be connected.

The base mounts on the ceiling and has a 50-80mm adjustable fixing span and an 89mm opposed fixing span. The detector engages with light pressure and a turn, and a locking insert can secure the fitted head. Wiring passes through the base and stays clear of the head fitting area.

The 781814 remote alarm LED connects through two wires: its X1 positive terminal connects to LED EP6 on the base and X1 negative connects to EM2. The conventional zone continues through the base circuit, with a 22µF end-of-line capacitor at the end of the ES Detect circuit.

The white RAL 9010 housing is ABS-V0. It measures 115mm in diameter and 24mm deep, weighs approximately 60g and accepts 1.5-2.5mm² conductors. Ambient temperature is -20°C to +54°C, storage is -25°C to +70°C and relative humidity is below 95%, non-condensing.

FAQs

What does the diode in the 805590-D do?

The diode maintains continuity through the zone circuit when the detector head is removed from the 805590-D. The base remains fixed to the ceiling and connected to the zone wiring. It accepts the 800171, 800177, 800271 and 800371 ES Detect heads and includes a locking insert to secure the fitted detector. On a Xenex zone, the limit is up to 20 diode bases. The base also provides the two-wire connection for a 781814 remote alarm indicator.

Which detector heads fit the 805590-D?

The 805590-D fits the 800171 fixed heat detector, 800177 Class B fixed heat detector, 800271 rate-of-rise heat detector and 800371 optical smoke detector. Each head fits into the ceiling-mounted base with light pressure and a turn. The locking insert can secure the head against removal. The base carries the zone wiring and its diode maintains circuit continuity when a head is removed. A 781814 remote LED can connect at the base to repeat the detector alarm.

How does the 805590-D mount and secure the detector?

The 805590-D has a locking insert that secures the fitted detector head. The base fixes to the ceiling using a 50-80mm adjustable fixing span or the 89mm opposed fixing points. The head engages with light pressure and a turn. Cables pass through the base, and the terminals accept 1.5-2.5mm² conductors. The body is 115mm in diameter and 24mm deep. It accepts the 800171, 800177, 800271 and 800371 ES Detect heads.

How does a 781814 remote LED connect to the 805590-D?

The 781814 connects through two wires at the base. Its X1 positive terminal connects to LED EP6 on the 805590-D, while X1 negative connects to EM2. The remote unit repeats the detector alarm with three red LEDs behind a red lens. The detector head remains on the conventional zone through its base. The supported heads include the 800171 and 800177 fixed heat models, the 800271 rate-of-rise heat model and the 800371 optical smoke model.

What are the dimensions and environmental limits of the 805590-D?

The 805590-D measures 115mm in diameter and 24mm deep and weighs approximately 60g. It has an ABS-V0 housing in white RAL 9010. Ambient temperature is -20°C to +54°C and storage temperature is -25°C to +70°C. Relative humidity must remain below 95% without condensation. The terminals accept 1.5-2.5mm² conductors. Ceiling fixing points include an adjustable 50-80mm span and an 89mm opposed span, and the base has a locking insert for securing the compatible detector head.
