VESDA-E STX PSU 0.5A (7-14AH) - BLACK

VPS-220-STX5 is the black Style STX5 power supply unit from the Series 5 range, a 0.5A 7-14Ah PSU and the shallower unit of the range. An integrated EN54-4 certified supply provides a continuous 24 V direct current output of 0,5 A.

Load capability is 0,5 / 1,0A, the 1A setting not being certified to EN 54-4; that non-certified setting allows loads of up to 1 A to be powered while charging batteries of up to 12 Ah in accordance with EN 54-4. Output is rated 20,0 - 30Vdc and the mains input is 230Vac only, tested at +10% -15%. At a 0.5A load the unit takes batteries of up to 14Ah, either 2 x 12 V, 7Ah, 2 x 12 V, 12Ah or 4 x 12 V, 7Ah, the last of these being permitted under EN 54-4 although it may not meet installation codes such as BS 5839-1. Testing has been done with the Yuasa Yucel Y series.

Protection is IP 30, the ambient range is -5º to 40ºC and humidity may reach 95% RH, non-condensing. A 3A MINI automotive fuse protects the battery circuit and a 1A HRC fuse the AC side, both 20mm. Every STX unit is set up on DIP switches, charging is temperature compensated for maximum battery life, and once the load has been disconnected a tiny current (<8mA) watches for the return of mains voltage in order to protect the batteries.
