VESDA 24Volt 3 amp Power Supply Unit With space for up to 38Ah batteries

The VPS-250-E5 is a Style E5 power supply unit from Xtralis, part of the VESDA Power Supplies range, designed for powering larger ASD units including the VESDA-E VEU and VEA at all fan speeds. It delivers a certified 3A load (3.4A non-certified to EN 54-4) from a 230Vac nominal supply with +10%/-15% tolerance, supporting two externally sourced 12V 38Ah batteries for extended operation.

Measuring 352 x 455 x 182mm and weighing 7kg without batteries, it features nine 20/25mm cable-entry knockouts in various positions and provides visual indications via green (Output OK) and yellow (Fault) LEDs. The unit mounts via four 5mm holes on 360mm x 280mm centres and incorporates fuse protection with a 7.5A MINI automotive fuse for batteries, T2A HRC for AC input, and 4x2A on outputs. It operates in environments up to 95% RH non-condensing and maintains an IP30 rating for basic ingress protection. This model supersedes the earlier VPS-250-E, offering enhanced capacity for larger VESDA-E installations while maintaining compatibility with the same Style E5 form factor and mounting interface.
