The Xtralis VESDA-E VEU-A00 is an aspirating smoke detector (ASD) that provides early fire warning by drawing air samples through a pipe network. It is a Class 1 laser product supporting a total pipe network length of 800 m, seven programmable relays, two configurable inputs (one monitored, one non-monitored) with configurable flow-fault thresholds, and a 100 base-T Ethernet interface.

Technical overview

The Xtralis VESDA-E VEU-A00 is an aspirating smoke detector (ASD) for early fire warning via air sampling through a pipe network. It is a Class 1 laser product compliant with FDA 21 CFR 1040.10 and FCC Class B digital device regulations. The unit supports a total pipe network length of 800 m and includes seven programmable relays, two configurable inputs (one monitored, one non-monitored) with adjustable flow-fault thresholds, and a 100 base-T Ethernet interface.

Additional features comprise WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), a USB host port, VESDAnet connectivity, and a clean air barrier for optics protection. Power requires a supply conforming to EN 54-4 and EN60950-1 Section 2.5. Compatible accessories include the ASD ENCL IP66 VESDA-E enclosure (020-050-E), various HLI interface modules (VHX-0320, VHX-0420, VHX-1320, VHX-1420), STX power supplies (VPS-220-STX5, VPS-250-STX5), and in-line filters (VSP-850-G, VSP-850-R). The VEU-A10 variant offers a 3.5" display as an alternative to LED indicators.
