Description
Where a VESDAnet network has to report into a host monitoring platform, this interface stands in as a proxy for the VESDA devices on it and gives direct access and monitoring of the entire network. Setup runs through Xtralis configuring and monitoring software packages.
Its metal box format is intended for permanent fixing to a flat surface, and the integral VESDAnet interface removes any need for a separate socket module at that position. Electrically it needs 24 VDC, drawing 70 mA (Quiescent), with power consumption of 1.68 W (Quiescent). Spare parts cover the VSP-509 VESDAlink RS-232 9-way serial cable and the VSP-511 VESDAnet RS-485 15-way cable.

VHX-1320 is the wall-mounted build of the VESDA Access High Level Interface, an HLI that presents a VESDAnet network to host monitoring platforms, among them Building Management Systems and Fire Alarm Control Panels, acting as a proxy for every VESDA device on that network. It sits in a metal enclosure for permanent mounting to a flat surface, and because the VESDAnet interface is built in, no remote VESDAnet socket module is required.
One unit covers up to 100 detectors, working with the VESDA VLP, VLS, VLC, VLF and VLI range and with VESDA-E VEP, VEP 1P & VEU (no VES), plus VLP/VLC/VLS in Mimic Mode. Protocol support extends to Alarm Status, Fault Status, Smoke Level, Detailed Fault Information, Alarm Thresholds and Detector Control functions such as Reset, Disable and Silence. The host link is RS-232 / RS-485.
Power comes from a 24 VDC supply; current consumption is 70 mA (Quiescent) and power consumption 1.68 W (Quiescent). The wall-mounted unit measures 11 in. x 7.3 in. x 2.2 in. approx.
