Description

VEP-A10-P carries the 3.5” Display. It weighs 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs) and takes 4 x 26 mm (1.02 in) cable entries.

Multi stage filtration and optical protection with clean air barriers ensures lifetime detection performance, and the detector holds consistent performance over its lifetime via absolute calibration.

VEP-A10-P is the four pipe VESDA-E VEP aspirating smoke detector with a 3.5” Display in a plastic enclosure, an Aspirating Smoke Detection product built on Flair detection technology, which delivers reliable very early warning in a wide range of environments with minimal nuisance alarms.

Four pipes reach 280 m (919 ft) laid linear or 560 m (1,837 ft) branched, covering 2,000 m2 (21,520 sq. ft); A/B/C hole counts are 40/80/100 and each pipe needs a minimum of 15 l/m airflow. Classification runs Class A (40 holes / Fire 1 = 0.028% obs/m), Class B (80 holes / Fire 1 = 0.027% obs/m) and Class C (100 holes / Fire 1 = 0.056% obs/m); classification of any configuration is determined using ASPIRE.

Read the full technical description

Seven relays are programmable to latching or non-latching states, and the enclosure is rated IP40. The detector works with existing VESDAnet installations, so both VESDA-E and legacy detectors can be watched through the latest VSC and VSM4 applications.

Direct imaging of the sampled particles using a CMOS imager combined with multiple photo-diodes allows better detection and fewer nuisance alarms. USB is present for PC configuration and firmware upgrade using a memory stick. The model carries CE and UKCA marking with FM, VdS, CSFM, ActivFire and CCC approval, against EN 54-20 and ISO 7240-20, though approvals and regulatory compliance vary by region and between product models.
