VESDA-E detectors are built with field replaceable parts, and the filter is one of them: on VEP, VEU and VES detectors it is the cartridge carrying part number VSP-962, and VSP-962-20 is the pack of 20.

The cartridge takes out coarse particles, with effective filtration and optical protection through clean air barriers that ensures lifetime detection performance. Being a smart on-board filter, it holds a dust count and a figure for remaining filter life, for predictable maintenance.
