What it is and how it fits the system.
The Xtralis VSP-962-20 supplies twenty VESDA-E filter cartridges for VEU, VEP and VES aspirating smoke detectors, giving a ready stock for scheduled filter changes. Each field-replaceable cartridge performs coarse particle filtering and carries a smart on-board filter that retains dust count and remaining filter life. The cartridges cannot be cleaned and must be replaced when due.
Technical overview
VSP-962-20 is a pack of twenty Xtralis VESDA-E filter cartridges covering VEU, VEP and VES aspirating smoke detectors, sized for a programme of scheduled filter changes.
The filter is one of the field-replaceable parts on a VESDA-E detector, so a cartridge change is carried out during routine servicing. On-board monitoring in each cartridge tracks how much dust has been collected and how much filter life remains, keeping servicing predictable; the cartridge cannot be cleaned and must be replaced with a new one when due.
The single-cartridge equivalent is VSP-962, each cartridge measuring 40 mm x 72 mm x 53 mm, and the pack is listed as a VESDA-E VEU ordering accessory. VEA detectors take a different filter, VSP-972, so the twenty-piece pack applies to the VEU, VEP and VES platforms.
