What it is and how it fits the system.
The Gent S4-34420 is a loop-powered low voltage interface providing one output and one input for the Vigilon fire detection and alarm system, supplied without enclosure. It delivers a single combined input/output channel from the addressable loop and operates in up to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing) across +5C to +45C. The device is compatible with Loop software V3.93/V4.35 and Main Control Card V3.94 and above.
Technical overview
S4-34420 gives the Gent by Honeywell Vigilon fire detection and alarm system a loop-powered low voltage interface with one output and one input, supplied as an open module with no enclosure. Within the S4 Interfaces & Accessories range of low voltage interfaces, this order code covers the bare single input/output electronics, leaving the installer to mount and house them.
Power comes from the Vigilon loop itself, and on the panel side the interface works with Loop software at V3.93 or V4.35 alongside a Main Control Card at V3.94 or V4.37.
Mounting is resolved through companion parts: S4-34491 DIN rail brackets (pack of 5) fix the open module to a rail, while the S4-34490 large plastic enclosure or the S4-34492 small metal enclosure with 20mm and 25mm knockout box the interface in. Physical wiring and terminal connections are detailed in the installation manual.
