What it is and how it fits the system.
The Xtralis VSP-983-W is a white 4mm surface-mount sampling point for the VESDA-E VEA series, with a 4mm inlet to suit appropriate microbore tubes and screwed directly to the ceiling. Designed for use where access to the ceiling void is limited, each patented sampling point and microbore tube is fully supervised and automatically cleaned by the detector.
Technical overview
VSP-983-W is the white 4mm surface-mount sampling point within the Xtralis VESDA-E VEA series of aspirating detectors, carrying an inlet sized for the appropriate microbore tube. Surface-mount points in this range are offered in black as well as white.
Fitting is by screws straight into the ceiling surface, the approach intended for spaces where the void above cannot readily be accessed, and the tube run lies visibly along the ceiling.
The VEA detector holds each patented head and its tube under full supervision and attends to cleaning automatically; physical connection detail belongs to the installation manual.
The VEA detectors this sampling point is used with are the VEA-040-A00 with LEDs and the VEA-040-A10 with a 3.5 inch display. A pack of 22 of the same white point is listed in the ordering information as VSP-983-W22, alongside the VSP-978 removal key and the sampling point retainer.
