Description

The 6mm inlet suits appropriate microbore tubes. With those tubes run in the void and the point itself mounted in the ceiling, this standard sampling point is designed for a ceiling that has a void. It can be screwed straight to the ceiling, or held by a retainer instead.

A swivel joint at the inlet keeps the tube's orientation flexible. Once the tubes are in place and taken through the ceiling, the ceiling void need not be entered, so the point is mounted blind. The detector's supervision reaches both the point and the tube that serves it.

VSP-980-W is a VESDA-E VEA 6mm Standard Sampling Point, a patented VEA air sampling point that works with microbore air-sampling tubes on a VESDA-E VEA series detector. Standard sampling points are designed for a ceiling with a void where microbore tubes are run in the void and sampling points are mounted in the ceiling. Fixing is either directly by screw to the ceiling or by retainer. The inlet's swivel joint allows the tube's orientation to be flexible. Blind mounting means the ceiling void need not be reached again once the microbore tubes have been fitted and taken through the ceiling. Each point, and the microbore tube serving it, is fully supervised by the detector.
