The Gent S4T-710 is an S4 SELF-TEST Optical Heat Sensor from the S-Quad Self-Test (S4T) series, combining optical and heat sensing with the patented Self-Test feature and Bluetooth Low Energy testing via the CLSS app. It operates on a 35V-48V loop across -10°C to +50°C and is rated IP21C. The ABS sensor head measures 117mm in diameter by 63mm high and weighs 152g.
Technical overview
The Gent S4T-710 is an S4 SELF-TEST Optical Heat Sensor from the S-Quad Self-Test (S4T) series, combining optical and heat sensing with the patented Self-Test feature and Bluetooth Low Energy testing via the CLSS app. It operates on a 35V-48V loop across -10°C to +50°C and is rated IP21C. The ABS sensor head measures 117mm in diameter by 63mm high and weighs 152g.
This sensor supports air velocities from 0 to 20 m/s for fire detection and 0 to 1.5 m/s around the device, with Bluetooth range limited to 10m. Self-test functions operate within an expected temperature range of 0 to 40°C for both heat and smoke sensing. It requires the CLSS mobile app and a CLSS gateway (one per network domain) for full Self-Test and BLE functionality, and is compatible only with current EN54 loop cards, not legacy versions.
The S4T-710 is designed for use with the Base S4-700 or S4BK-700 black base, and accepts S4-705 white or S4BK-705 black IP21C base plates (pack of five). Associated accessories include the 805576 label plate (10 pack), 805580 removal tool kit, and 805589 sensor dust cover (50 pack). Physical wiring details are provided in the S-Quad Data and Installation Guide. MCB/MCC and loop cards require firmware upgrades to support Self-Test and BLE features.
