Description

The CLSS Gateway is the route a fire system takes to the CLSS Cloud, and HON-CGW-MBB is the version with the enclosure. It ties a compatible Honeywell fire alarm control panel, or a panel network, into the CLSS Cloud platform, which in turn feeds the central station, the CLSS web app and the CLSS mobile app.

The panel end can be standalone, networked, or standalone with digital voice control, while the link out to the cloud is wireless or wired. Cellular communication modules CCM-ATT-HON, CCM-VZ-HON and CCM2-AV-HON are optional and are for fixed location applications only; without one, the Gateway can be used in portable applications as well as permanently installed ones.

HON-CGW-MBB is the Honeywell Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) Gateway with the enclosure, a device that bridges a compatible on-premises life safety system and the CLSS Cloud platform. It connects directly to compatible Honeywell fire alarm control panels (FACPs) or panel networks, giving a single path from site to cloud so that CLSS Cloud services and applications use the same audited and monitored method.

Panel connection options are a standalone panel, a networked panel, and standalone with digital voice control. The Gateway collects system data from the connected FACP and sends it to the CLSS Cloud over a wireless or wired connection, serves as a fire alarm communicator to the central station, and works with the CLSS mobile application. Bluetooth mobile pairing brings configuration and control to Android and iOS devices.

Electrically it takes 18 V DC to 30 V DC and draws 0.140A typical with the cellular module counted in. With its enclosure it weighs 861.8 gm at 7cm D x 20.37 cm W x 26 cm H. Standards and codes named for the Gateway are NFPA 72, including Chapter 26 for supervising stations for alarm systems, and NFPA 70.

Supply is 18 V DC to 30 V DC at a rated current of 0.140A typical, a figure that takes in the cellular module. The Gateway operates from 0°C to 49°C, is stored between -10°C to 60°C and tolerates humidity of 1% to 93% non-condensing, in a black flame retardant ABS-FR (17) Polylac PA-765 housing rated IP 30 where cable glands are fitted. Approvals cover UL File No. S35608, ETL File No. 5017288, FM23FPUS0095, CSFM 7300-1637:0504 and FDNY COA# 2021-TMCOAP-006279-AMND, with FCC ID PV3CGWMB and IC 1609A-CGWMB.
