Description

The Gent 13449-01 is a remote LED indicator for use with the S4-700 common base in an S-Quad installation. It connects to the detector's external LED circuit to provide a repeat indication away from the sensor. One remote LED can be wired to each base, with a maximum cable run of 15 metres between the base and the external unit. The S-Quad output drives the LED without a series resistor. The indicator has four terminal positions, with one positive and one negative connection used for the base wiring. Its supply comes through that connection, with positive connected to EM2 and negative connected to C3.

The 13449-01 connects to the remote LED circuit of an S-Quad detector fitted to an S4-700 base. Each base accepts one remote LED unit. The cable between the base and the external LED must be no longer than 15 metres.

The 13449-01 connects to the remote LED circuit of an S-Quad detector fitted to an S4-700 base. Each base accepts one remote LED unit. The cable between the base and the external LED must be no longer than 15 metres.

The S-Quad programmable circuit uses its unmonitored output setting to drive the external LED without a series resistor. Power reaches the indicator through this connection.

The indicator has four terminal positions marked as two positive and negative pairs.

The base connection uses a positive and negative pair, wired to EM2 and C3 respectively.

FAQs

What does the 13449-01 connect to?

The 13449-01 connects to the external LED circuit of an S-Quad detector fitted to the S4-700 common base. The indicator takes its supply through that connection. The positive conductor connects to EM2 on the base and the negative conductor to C3. One remote LED unit can be connected to each base, and the cable run between the base and the external LED must be kept within the 15 metre limit.

How many remote LEDs can be connected to one base?

An S4-700 base accepts one remote LED unit. For a 13449-01 connection, the cable runs between the base and the external indicator, with a maximum length of 15 metres. The indicator has four terminal positions arranged as positive and negative pairs, while the base connection uses one pair. The S-Quad external LED output supplies the indicator without a series resistor, using EM2 for the positive conductor and C3 for the negative conductor.

Does the remote LED need a series resistor?

A series resistor is not required when the 13449-01 is connected to the S-Quad external LED output. The detector's programmable circuit operates in its unmonitored output setting for this connection. The external indicator receives its supply from the base connection, with the positive and negative conductors running to EM2 and C3. Each base supports one remote LED unit, and the cable length from the base to the external unit is limited to 15 metres.

What is the cable-length limit for the 13449-01?

The maximum cable length is 15 metres between the S-Quad base and the external LED unit. This is the limit for the indicator connection from the base. The 13449-01 uses the detector's external LED circuit, with one remote LED allowed on each S4-700 base. Connect the positive conductor to EM2 and the negative conductor to C3. The circuit drives the indicator without a series resistor when configured as the S-Quad unmonitored output.

How are the indicator terminals arranged?

The 13449-01 has four terminal positions arranged as two positive and negative pairs. The connection from the S4-700 base uses one positive and one negative position. On the base, these conductors connect to EM2 positive and C3 negative. The indicator is supplied through the external LED circuit, which operates without a series resistor. One indicator can be connected per base, with no more than 15 metres of cable between the base and the remote unit.
