What it is and how it fits the system.
The Gent S4-34896 is a manual call point supplied with a weatherproof enclosure, complying fully with EN54 Part 11 (and Part 17). Each MCP contains its own microprocessor for a response time of less than one second, with two integral line isolators and a flashing integral LED to denote operation of the break glass. Available with a glass or resettable element in surface or semi-flush mounting, the device can be functionally tested in place, and its sealed electronics suit demanding environments.
Technical overview
Gent by Honeywell S4-34896 is a manual call point with a weatherproof enclosure, part of the wider Gent Manual Call Point range. It carries two integral line isolators, and a flashing LED signals that the break glass has been triggered, cancelling only once the point is reset.
The call point can be specified with a glass or resettable element and mounted on the surface or semi-flush, with black flanges for the semi-flush version. A functional test can be run in place without removing the cover or breaking the glass, using the supplied test key that slots into a keyway hidden beneath a sliding cover. The internal electronics are sealed against dust and other hostile conditions to an IP32 rating, and the device conforms to EN54 Part 11 and Part 17.
