Description
The Gent S4-34805-EP is an IP67 addressable manual call point with a plastic resettable element and a lift-up cover. Lift the cover and press the centre to raise a fire signal. The element is restored with a test key after use. Its supplied back box forms part of the IP67 assembly and must be used with IP67 cable glands. It takes power from the loop at 35-48 V and has built-in short circuit isolation. A red LED and yellow tab show activation, while a green LED gives status and find-device indication. The red ABS assembly measures 90 x 90 x 65 mm. The complete assembly weighs approximately 250 g.
The S4-34805-EP is supplied with a resettable call point and transparent protective cover, its own back box, one test key, two long screws with washers and two rubber seals. The S4-34805-EP is supplied with a resettable call point and transparent protective cover, its own back box, one test key, two long screws with washers and two rubber seals. To activate it, lift the cover and press the centre of the element inwards. The yellow tab appears and the red LED flashes. It can also be operated with the test key.
The IP67 enclosure must be assembled with the supplied back box. Standard MCP back boxes and third-party back boxes cannot be substituted. Drill the required cable entry points, fit IP67-rated glands and secure the box through its four fixing points.
The device operates from the addressable loop at 35-48 V and includes short circuit isolation. Its removable terminal block takes conductors up to 2.5 mm2. For armoured or similar cable, provide loop cable screen continuity through each device. The green LED supplies status and find-device indication.
After activation, slide the keyhole cover upwards and insert the test key. Turn it clockwise through a quarter turn until the mechanism engages, then anticlockwise through a quarter turn until the yellow flag retracts. S4-34890 supplies ten replacement resettable elements; S4-34899 supplies twenty-five spare test keys. One test key is supplied with the call point.
The red ABS assembly measures 90 x 90 x 65 mm and weighs approximately 250 g. Operating temperature is -25°C to +70°C; storage temperature is -30°C to +70°C. Relative humidity may reach 95%, non-condensing, at +25°C to +55°C. It meets EN 54-11 and EN 54-17 and is LPCB approved.

FAQs
Does the S4-34805-EP need a separate back box?
The S4-34805-EP comes with its own back box, and that box is part of the IP67 assembly. Use the supplied box when installing the call point; a standard MCP box or a third-party box cannot be substituted. Drill the cable entry points needed for the installation, terminate the cables with IP67-rated glands and secure the back box using its four fixing points. The call point package also contains two rubber seals, a test key and two long screws with washers.
How do you operate and reset the S4-34805-EP?
Lift the transparent protective cover and press the centre of the resettable element inwards. The yellow tab becomes visible and the red LED flashes. To restore the element, slide the keyhole cover upwards and insert the test key. Turn the key clockwise through a quarter turn until the mechanism engages, then turn it anticlockwise through a quarter turn until the yellow flag retracts. The S4-34805-EP uses a plastic resettable element, with replacement elements available in packs of ten as S4-34890.
How is the S4-34805-EP tested with its key?
Lift the protective cover and slide the keyhole cover upwards, then insert the test key. A clockwise quarter turn lowers the element and yellow tab to activate the S4-34805-EP, and the red LED flashes. Turn the key anticlockwise through a quarter turn until the yellow tab rises, then reset the panel. One test key is supplied with the call point. Spare test keys are available as S4-34899 in packs of twenty-five, and S4-34890 contains ten replacement resettable elements.
What loop connections does the S4-34805-EP use?
The S4-34805-EP runs from the addressable loop at 35-48 V and includes built-in short circuit isolation. Loop wiring connects to a removable terminal block with a maximum conductor size of 2.5 mm2. For armoured or similar cables, provide continuity of the loop cable screen through each device. Cable entries require IP67-rated glands, and the supplied back box must form part of the installation. The green LED gives status and find-device indication, while activation produces a red LED indication and visible yellow tab.
How does the S4-34805-EP differ from the S4-34805?
The S4-34805-EP has an IP67 assembly supplied with its own back box and a protective cover. It measures 90 x 90 x 65 mm and weighs approximately 250 g. The S4-34805 is the standard indoor resettable call point, with its back box ordered separately. Both use plastic elements restored with a test key. For the EP installation, use the supplied back box and IP67-rated cable glands. Its replacement resettable element is S4-34890, supplied in packs of ten.
