Description
The Gent COMPACT-PLUS is a one to two loop fire alarm control panel, supplied in black with one loop card. Each loop can take up to 200 compatible devices, with the usable count and cable length set by the device mix, alarm load and layout. A second COMPACT-LPC-EN adds the second loop, while the optional COMPACT-NC links the panel to a copper network. The panel has a backlit LCD, 32 zone LEDs and two master alarm circuits. It runs from a mains supply with battery standby. Batteries are not included: order two 4015-514-YFR 12V 12Ah units and check the standby time against the system load.

COMPACT-PLUS controls up to two addressable detection loops and is supplied with one COMPACT-LPC-EN loop card. Each loop can serve up to 200 compatible devices, including fire sensors, manual call points and interfaces. This card supports up to 2 km of loop cable in the Compact Plus panel, with the actual device count and cable length governed by the compatible device mix, alarm load and whether alarm devices are spread out or grouped together. For a second loop, fit another COMPACT-LPC-EN. The first loop card goes in CARD 1 on the master control board. The second goes in CARD 2 unless a COMPACT-NC network card is fitted there; in that arrangement the second loop card plugs into the socket on the network card. The optional COMPACT-NC connects the panel to a secure copper loop network of up to 31 panels and network nodes. The distance between adjacent units can reach 1.2 km with a suitable approved cable; the permitted distance depends on the cable type.
Two master alarm circuits each provide 24 V nominal at up to 250 mA. Auxiliary relay 1 has two changeover contact sets and relay 2 has one, rated 1 A at 24 V DC. They can be configured for fire, fault or disablement, with an optional delay of up to ten minutes. A separate voltage-free changeover contact set operates with the master alarms. The normally open monitored input checks for open and short circuit faults and triggers command build 250, whose action is selected during commissioning.
The backlit LCD displays eight lines of 40 characters, alongside 32 integral zone LEDs. RS485 Port 0 connects repeat indicators, RS232 Ports 1 and 2 provide serial connections, and USB Port 3 at P16 connects the commissioning tool. An SD card can hold configuration data and extended event logs when that function is enabled.
The integral power supply takes 230 V mains at 50/60 Hz. Order two 4015-514-YFR Power Sonic Flame Retardant 12 V 12 Ah batteries separately: batteries are not included. The 24-hour standby and 30-minute alarm target must be checked against the installed load. The black IP31 panel measures 403 x 338 x 140 mm, height x width x depth, and weighs approximately 8.6 kg without batteries. It has top and rear cable entries and can be surface mounted or semi-flush mounted with the optional COMPACT-FLUSH surround.
