Overview
What it is and how it fits the system.
COMPACT-PLUS can be surface mounted or semi-flush mounted, with mounting and cable entry points provided and an inner door fitted.
A removable terminal block is fitted, and the Master Control Board carries terminals for external circuits, one of which is a monitored input circuit. Power comes from the mains supply, with earth continuity addressed at the panel.

Technical overview
COMPACT-PLUS is the control panel that a Vigilon Compact Plus panel based fire detection and alarm system is built on, and it is installed as the basis of that system. Loop device load and length calculations are made for a 2Km loop card, and the panel takes a loop card. Loop circuit design separates a distributed alarm device load from a lumped alarm device load. Loop cabling is treated in two forms, standard loop cables and enhanced loop cables, with a 2.5mm² Loop cable (2.5Km loop) among the options, while the system itself is specified for up to a 2km loop. Standard network cables and enhanced network cables are specified for the system.
