Technical overview
COMPACT-NC is a copper network card for Vigilon Compact (Networkable) fire systems, carrying terminals for external network wiring so data passes between control panels. It seats in the dedicated 'CARD 2' position on a panel's Master Control board, and a bank of dual-in-line switches sets the card's address and baud rate before installation. It is compatible with a Compact panel using the newer MCB (VCS-MCB-N, software 4.36 or later) and PSU (VCS-PSU-N), and is listed as an incorporated module of the LPCB-certified Vigilon CompactPlus, whose approval scope excludes the network functionality.
