Vision 2020B Standard Detector Base (Conventional)

The 2020B is a standard detector base for the Vision range of conventional detectors, serving as the mounting and wiring interface between the fixed field wiring and Vision-series conventional heads. Once installed, it adds 9.5mm to the overall detector height and weighs 45g, keeping the finished assembly compact and unobtrusive at ceiling level.

Two design details support a secure, verifiable installation. A small plastic tab on the base can be removed so that a fitted detector head can no longer be taken off without a tool, improving tamper resistance in exposed or public areas. The base also lets installers prove circuit continuity before any heads go in: a spring bridges the relevant terminals during first fix and then releases on its own as soon as a detector is seated, so the wiring is confirmed and then handed cleanly to the head.

The 2020B accepts the full Vision detector family, including the 2020R rate of rise heat detector, the 2020F fixed temperature thermal (58°C), the 2020HF high fixed temperature thermal (78°C), the 2020PT optical thermal multi-criteria detector, and the 2020P optical detector.
