Overview

What it is and how it fits the system.

The 2020HF is a 78°C fixed-temperature heat detector from the Vision range of conventional detectors, combining a heat element with an ASIC and a static element for quick, accurate fire detection. It operates from 14 to 28VDC (nominal 24VDC) with a 75µA maximum standby current at 24VDC and 70mA maximum alarm current at 28VDC, across an application range of -30°C to +70°C. The 102mm-diameter head stands 40.5mm high and accepts terminal wiring from 0.4mm² to 2.0mm² at 5 to 95% RH non-condensing.

Technical overview

The 2020HF is a Conventional 78°C Fixed Temperature Heat Detector from the Vision range, designed as a standalone fixed-temperature detector using a heat element, ASIC, and static element for rapid fire response. It operates on 14 to 28VDC (nominal 24VDC) with a maximum standby current of 75µA at 24VDC and 70mA alarm current at 28VDC, suitable for ambient temperatures from –30°C to +70°C and humidity levels of 5 to 95% non-condensing.

The detector head measures 102mm in diameter and 40.5mm in height, constructed from ABS material approximating RAL9016, and weighs 70g. It accepts terminal wiring from 0.4mm² to 2.0mm² and is compatible with various Vision detector bases, including the 2020B Standard Base (adding 9.5mm height) and 2020DB Deep Base (adding 21mm height), as well as Schottky diode variants. Certified to EN54 Part 5 and approved to EN54 – 5:2000 (Amendment 1) Class BS, it also holds LPCB and CE approvals for use in conventional fire alarm systems.
