Description
Optical smoke sensing in the Vision conventional family is covered by the 2020P, an optical chamber and ASIC combination from System Sensor. Its approval is EN54-7:2000 (Amendment 1) against EN54 part 7, with LPCB and CE approval and the marking 0832 0832-CPD-0181.
Current demand is modest: 45µA Typical, at 24VDC, 25°C quiescent, no more than 60μA @ 24VDC in standby and 70mA @ 28VDC while in alarm, all on a 14 to 28VDC (Nominal 24VDC) line. An alarm latches until a momentary power interruption clears it, lit on the integral LED and repeatable at a remote LED. The detector features automatic drift compensation.
The 2020P is a conventional photo-electronic optical smoke detector in the Vision range, pairing an optical chamber with an ASIC to detect fires quickly and accurately. It is a System Sensor product, approved to EN54-7:2000 (Amendment 1), declared against EN54 part 7, LPCB Approved and CE Approved, and marked 0832 0832-CPD-0181.
The head works from 14 - 28 VDC, taking 45µA Typical, at 24VDC, 25°C when quiescent and a maximum standby current of 60μA @ 24VDC, with 70mA @ 28VDC drawn in alarm. Alarms latch and are reset by momentary power interruption, shown on the integral LED, and a remote LED annunciator can repeat that indication. Automatic drift compensation is provided.
The head is a low profile design, 102mm in diameter and standing 32.5mm high, with 9.5mm more for a standard base, moulded in ABS to approximate RAL9016 and weighing 75g before the 45g the base adds. Terminals accept 0.4mm² to 2.0mm² conductors, and the detector is rated for -30ºC to +70ºC across 5 to 95% Relative Humidity (non-condensing).

The body spans 102mm across, its height 32.5mm before a standard base adds 9.5mm, and it weighs 75g plus the 45g of that base, in ABS approximating RAL9016. It fits 2020B, 2020BSD, 2020DB or 2020DBSD bases and answers to the 2020LT laser tool for remote triggering.

Bases available run from 2020B and 2020BSD at standard height to 2020DB and 2020DBSD in deep form, giving application flexibility and compatibility with conventional fire alarm panels of many kinds. The 2020LT hand held laser tool, effective over several metres, provides the remote alarm trigger feature.
