Description

The 19104-52 is the 24 V dc power relay that fits on the DIN rail inside the Gent mains-powered interface unit. It has an octal base and is used to drive a larger alarm load, such as high-powered sounders fed from a separate 24 V battery and charger power supply, from a panel or interface sounder circuit. The relay is rated at 10 A, and the load it can switch is limited by both the power supply and the relay contacts. Up to four relays can be fitted with diode units on the DIN rail inside the interface unit.

The 19104-52 power relay fits an octal base holder that is TS35 DIN rail mountable and installs inside the S4-34440 mains-powered interface unit. A maximum of four relays with their diode units can be fitted on the DIN rail inside the interface unit.

Where a 24 V alarm circuit at a control panel or interface unit output is required to drive a large alarm load, the relay is used as a driver. The monitored sounder circuit is wired across the relay coil through the diode unit, so the coil energises on the alarm polarity. A separate 24 V dc battery and charger power supply unit on its own mains feed supplies the alarm load, and its positive and negative rails run through the relay contacts to the chain of sounders, which ends in an end of line resistor so the load circuit stays monitored. The power supply fault contacts are taken to a suitable interface input. The total alarm load must be within the switching and power limits of both the power supply and the relay.

The relay has a 24 V coil with a 470 ohm coil resistance, a 10 A contact rating, a current consumption of 50 mA, and two changeover contact sets.
