VESDA Remote VESDAnet socket

The VESDAnet Socket Module is the point at which a VESDAnet network is reached from a remote location. Its 15-pin female socket accepts the VESDA hand-held LCD Programmer and an HLI for configuration, control and monitoring, and the module itself goes onto a remote box or a 19” Subrack.

The socket card inside brings together the VESDAnet socket and the VESDAnet and power terminals, so communication wires can be run in and looped out to the next device. VESDAnet data is bidirectional and wire polarity must be maintained throughout. RS 485 twisted pair cable (Belden 9841 - 120 ohm) is the recommendation.

VRT-300 is the VESDAnet Socket Module, a 15-pin female connector that lets the VESDA hand-held LCD Programmer and an HLI be connected to a VESDAnet network for configuration, control and monitoring. It can be mounted onto a remote box or a 19” Subrack, enabling access to a VESDAnet network from a remote location.

Inside sits a VESDAnet socket card carrying the VESDAnet socket together with VESDAnet and power terminals. Those VESDAnet terminals let the communication wires be brought into the module and looped out to another device. Data communication on VESDAnet is bidirectional, and the polarity of the data wires must be maintained throughout the network. RS 485 twisted pair cable (Belden 9841 - 120 ohm) is recommended.
