Remote VESDAnet socket
PC-Link (non-wall-mounted) Open Protocol HLI must connect to a VESDAnet socket; the remote VESDAnet socket module is required except on the wall-mounted HLI.

The VHX-0300 is a VESDA Open Protocol High Level Interface operating in the peer-to-peer model, linking a VESDAnet network with PC monitoring software, Building Management Systems and Fire Alarm Control Panels. It supports up to 40 detectors and runs on 24 VDC at 70 mA quiescent (1.68 W). Supplied with the VESDAlink RS-232 serial cable; modem support is not available.
Technical overview
The VHX-0300 is an Xtralis VESDA Open Protocol High Level Interface operating in the peer-to-peer model, designed to link a VESDAnet network with PC monitoring software, Building Management Systems, and Fire Alarm Control Panels. It supports up to 40 detectors and consumes 1.68 W quiescent power at 24 VDC and 70 mA current draw.
This HLI supervises communications bidirectionally: the host polls the device for VESDAnet device information while the VHX-0300 sends unsolicited messages to the host, with both parties responsible for link integrity. It provides Open Protocol data for detector types VLC, VLS, VLP, VLF and supports Mimic Mode for VLP/VLC/VLS configurations. Configuration is performed using Xtralis software packages.
Modem support is not available, and wiring details are referenced in the installation manual. It measures 188 mm x 98 mm x 40 mm and weighs 0.4 kg.
