What it is and how it fits the system.
The Gent M210EA-CZ is a conventional zone interface/monitor module in the capacitor (EOL-capacitor) variant, providing the interface between a zone of System Sensor conventional fire detection devices and an intelligent analogue addressable signalling loop. It is supplied with a 47 µF non-polarised M200E-EOL-C end-of-line capacitor and supports a conventional zone supply of 18 to 32 V from loop or external supply. Superseding the M210E-CZ, it has a 16.5 V Max LED cutoff voltage and a maximum standby load current of 3 mA for detectors.
Technical overview
The Morley M210EA-CZ is a conventional zone interface and monitor module in the capacitor (EOL-capacitor) variant, part of the Addressable Interface modules range within the Zone Monitor sub-range. It forms the interface between a zone of System Sensor conventional fire detection devices and an intelligent analogue addressable signalling loop, and is supplied with a 47 µF non-polarised M200E-EOL-C end-of-line capacitor. It supersedes the earlier M210E-CZ and offers full backward compatibility while drawing a lower standby current than the version it replaces.
The zone may be powered from the communications line or from a 24 V supply; when an external supply is used, the communication line is fully isolated from both the conventional zone and the power supply. The module carries built-in short-circuit isolators, monitors open- and short-circuit faults, and provides an external fault input for monitoring a contact such as a mains-failure signal. A single tri-colour LED reports module status, addressing is set through rotary decade switches, and both CLIP and advanced protocol are supported. It can monitor most System Sensor conventional detectors mounted on standard bases or on 470 Ω resistor bases, including the S300/ECO1000, 100, 400 and EC series and 6500RE/6500RSE optical beam detectors.
The module mounts on the M200E-SMB surface-mounting box or on a standard 35 mm x 7.5 mm DIN rail inside a control panel or enclosure, with wiring via plug-in terminals. It is certified to EN 54-17 and EN 54-18.
