The Gent COMPACT-NODE is a Compact Plus terminal node for Vigilon panel networks, supplied in black. It provides the network termination point for connecting Vigilon panels into a networked fire system.
Technical overview
The Gent COMPACT-NODE terminates a Vigilon panel network, giving a group of networked fire panels the single point at which the network is brought together. Part of the Gent by Honeywell Compact Plus range, it lets multiple Vigilon panels work as one coordinated fire detection system rather than as isolated controllers, extending detection and control across a larger site.
Networking runs over a copper network card, and a single network can reach as many as 31 panels, with distances of up to 1.2km permitted between them. The node is approved to the EN54-4 fire standard and is offered in the EN version only. It is housed in a black enclosure rated to IP31 and draws from a 230V mains supply.
Standby is around 24 hours plus 30 minutes in alarm when fitted with two 12V 12Ah batteries. For terminal wiring and connection detail, refer to the installation manual.
