The MI-B501AP is a Morley intelligent addressable detector base designed for use with all Morley Advanced intelligent sensor ranges and their variants. Available in standard white, ivory (-IV) and black (-BK), it runs at 22.5V nominal, measures 102 mm in diameter by 22.5 mm high and weighs 39 g. A tamper-resist feature is included, and the base offers flexible mounting beyond the standard 60mm hole centres.
Technical overview
B501AP is the standard white version of the Morley addressable sensor base, designed for use with all Morley Advanced intelligent ranges of sensors and their variants; an IV suffix denotes an ivory base and a BK suffix a black one. At 102 mm in diameter, 22.5 mm high and 39 g, the base runs at 22.5 V nominal on the loop.
Installation flexibility distinguishes the base: mounting hole centres adjust from 50mm to 60mm rather than the fixed 60mm standard, the terminals accept cables from 0.75mm² to 2.5mm², and suitable junction boxes may be used where required. Breaking off the tab between terminals 2 and 4 activates a tamper resist feature that prevents removal of the sensor head without a tool, and a relocatable address tag keeps the sensor address visible without removing the head.
The RA100Z Remote Annunciator LED is available as an optional accessory, with terminal 3 carrying the annunciator positive connection; any alternative annunciator must be suitably rated for Morley intelligent devices. The RMK400AP recess mounting kit suits flush mounting into a false ceiling, while the deep BPW and BRR bases and the sealed WPW base cover other installation needs.
